Observing the Time ⏰
1Chr.12.32 - of the sons of Issachar who had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do, their chiefs were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their command;
God created everything with time. The unstopping tick-tock sound of a watch counting from seconds, to minutes, to hours, days to weeks, months to years, and years in decades, centuries, millennia etc exemplifies the importance of time in human existence. Every creation of God has its time frame. The time to begin, the time to end, from birth to death, good times and bad times, Eccl 3:1-15 states in detail the fact that everything under heaven has time and season to which the wise will pay attention.
Only a fool lives without the consciousness of time. Nothing exists without time. Every manufactured product has an expiry date, so every human experience good or bad has an expiry date. I remember a young man who did everything possible to amass so much wealth, built so many houses, with countless investments, that he thought in himself never to experience poverty anymore. He lived extravagantly and arrogantly, lavishing wealth and oppressing all his servants. He literally forgot he was an ordinary mortal. He lived like a god and forgot no amount of wealth could afford immortality.
When he thought he was just about beginning to enjoy life and merry he fell sick with an acute deadly disease that no doctor on earth could cure. He acquired the best physicians both orthodox and otherwise but no remedy. He was rather told to put his house in order because he was going to die in just a few days as his sickness had gone beyond any possible cure. This man was completely disappointed in himself and all the wealth. He looked and watched all his assets and wealth, crying bitterly saying, ‘so I will leave all these things just like that’.
This is exactly how it ends when men fail to pay attention to time. Make hay while the sun shines. Think and do what you have to when you can. When you celebrate your birthday, remember your death day. When you buy a new asset, remember it will soon be outdated. There is more to life than wealth and power. The disciples of Christ were concerned about the glory of the Temple but Christ called their attention to being watchful and observant for the time will come when no stone will stand on the other. The last days require us all to be watchful and not be carried away by the glamorous distractions, successes and celebrations here and there. These things are capable of clouding our minds from the consciousness that they are mere ephemeral that will fade away with time. Keep watch therefore, for you know not when the husbandman, the Lord and Master of time and chances will come and tell you it's time. In just a little while, He who is coming shall come, He will not delay. Watch!

Prayers:
Holy Spirit, give me wisdom to discern time and teach me to number my days. Use me to manifest Your power in my generation like the days of the Apostles. Help me to leave no stone unturned in my lifetime. I ask through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
