The Sower Should Reap First

2Tim.2.6 - The hardworking farmer must be first to partake of the crops.

The greatest misfortune anyone can experience is to miss the blessings and rewards of waiting. I heard a pathetic story of a lady, the only child of a widow, who was trained single handedly by her mother out of a series of challenging experiences from childhood to maturity. The mother laboured, toiled day and night to give this girl the best of Education from Primary school to the University level, with the hope that she will in turn take very good care of her mother at old age. After a successful University Education, she graduated with first class honours and was the overall best student of her set, but unfortunately died in an auto crash on her convocation day.

After many years of toiling, working hard and waiting for harvest, the joy of all is to be alive, available, hale and healthy when the results of the long years of waiting and expectations eventually come. This is the reason for watchfulness and consistent prayers for divine grace and preservation, that one will not be found wanting at the season of harvest. -Take heed, watch and pray; for you do not know when the time is. Mark.13.33

We need personal discipline and determination not to quit before our season of victory. We need God’s grace to keep us strong when our flesh can no longer carry on. We need divine defence against evil attacks, against the merchandise of darkness sent to steal, to terminate or manipulate and to destroy before or in time of harvest.

Harvest season is the most important season for any farmer or labourer. You work and toil done in pain and sorrows, hoping that sooner than later, the season of joyful harvest will come with abundance of blessings. This should not be the season anyone would be found wanting for whatever reason.

Prayers:

Say this prayers:

I declare by faith in the name of Jesus Christ. I shall not die before the time of my miracle. I shall not be lost at the time of harvest. I will reap the reward of all my labour, I will not invest my sweat in futility. I will not labour for another to eat. The Lord of the heavens will keep my harvest from every devourer and satisfy me with everlasting joy and peace. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Happy Sunday
