  🌙 Midnight Call Reflection The Failure of the Church: A Reason for a Troubled World When the world staggers in confusion, wars rage without cease, corruption thrives, and love grows cold, we must pause and ask: Where is the Church? From the days of the early believers, the Church was called to be “the salt of the earth” and “the light of the world” (Matthew 5:13–14). Salt preserves, light reveals. But when the salt loses its savour or the light is hidden, decay and darkness prevail. The turbulence of our world today cannot be explained by politics alone, nor by economics or science; at its root lies the failure of God’s people to stand as a prophetic voice, a healing balm, and a beacon of truth. When the Church compromises with sin, society sinks deeper into wickedness. When the pulpit becomes silent about righteousness, the streets grow loud with injustice.
