Day 6: The Word That Revives
Day 6: The Word That Revives
Theme Scripture
“The entrance of Your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple.”
— Psalm 119:130 (NKJV)
Exposition
Revival is not built on excitement, emotions, or activities—it is anchored on the living Word of God. The Word is God’s instrument for transformation, conviction, and renewal. Wherever there has been true revival, the preaching and teaching of God’s Word has taken central place.
The Bible is not just a book; it is Spirit-breathed (2 Timothy 3:16). When read with an open heart and preached in the power of the Holy Spirit, it penetrates like a two-edged sword, cutting through sin, pride, and unbelief (Hebrews 4:12).
During Nehemiah’s time, revival came when Ezra read the Law aloud, and the people wept, repented, and returned to God (Nehemiah 8:1–12). In the early church, “the Word of God increased, and the number of disciples multiplied greatly” (Acts 6:7).
If we want revival now, we must return to the Word—studying it daily, preaching it with boldness, and living it out. A Word-starved generation cannot experience true revival. Revival begins when God’s Word burns in our hearts and flows through our lives.
