Personal Holiness
Day 7: Personal Holiness
Theme Scripture:
“Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord.” — Hebrews 12:14 (NKJV)
Reflection:
Revival thrives in the atmosphere of holiness. Sin quenches the fire of the Spirit, but purity keeps it burning. Holiness is not old-fashioned—it is the very fragrance of God’s presence. When God revives a person, the first evidence is a renewed desire to live clean and walk uprightly before Him.
Personal holiness is not about outward appearance or self-righteousness—it is about being fully set apart for God. Revival and sin cannot coexist. When we allow compromise, lust, greed, gossip, and pride to fill our hearts, the flame of revival flickers.
But when we yield every part of our lives—thoughts, words, habits, ambitions—to the Lord, His refining fire burns away impurity. Holiness is both a calling and a process. God’s Spirit works in us to conform us daily to the image of Christ.
In revival history, every outpouring of the Spirit was marked by deep repentance and holy living. The Welsh Revival of 1904, for example, was not just a movement of miracles, but a movement of moral transformation. Shops closed on Sundays, debts were repaid, and entire towns lived under conviction.
If we long for revival now, we must first consecrate ourselves. Revival is sustained where holiness is honored.
Further Scriptures for Study:
- Leviticus 20:7 – “Consecrate yourselves therefore, and be holy, for I am the Lord your God.”
- 1 Peter 1:15–16 – “Be holy, for I am holy.”
- 2 Corinthians 7:1 – “Let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit.”
- Psalm 24:3–4 – “Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord? He who has clean hands and a pure heart.”
- Romans 12:1–2 – “Present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God.”
10 Revival Prayers:
- Lord, purify my heart and cleanse me from all unrighteousness.
- Father, make me a vessel fit for Your holy fire.
- Lord, break every habit, secret sin, and unholy desire in me.
- Father, renew my mind with Your Word and Spirit.
- Lord, create in me a clean heart and a steadfast spirit.
- Father, let holiness be my lifestyle, not just my confession.
- Lord, teach me to love righteousness and hate iniquity.
- Father, let the fear of the Lord govern my every decision.

- Consecration Act: Lay your hands on yourself and verbally dedicate every area of your life to God again.
- Holiness Challenge: Identify one unholy habit to eliminate today and replace it with a spiritual discipline (prayer, worship, or service).
