We have learned about joy in suffering, humility, Christian unity, pressing toward the goal, finding our identity in Christ, overcoming anxiety through prayer, guarding our thoughts, learning contentment, and trusting God for provision. They were people he loved. His relationship with them reminds us that Christian ministry is ultimately about people. Paul had invested his life in them, and their spiritual growth brought him joy.
