September 1 — Come, Let Us Reason Together 📖 Scripture Reading: Isaiah 1:16–20 Key Verse: “Come now, and let us reason together,” says the Lord, “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool.” — Isaiah 1:18 Devotional Reflection The Book of Isaiah opens with a sobering picture of a people who had drifted away from God. They continued with religious activities, sacrifices, and gatherings, yet their hearts and lives were not truly aligned with Him. God was not merely interested in their outward worship; He desired repentance, obedience, justice, and a genuine relationship with His people. Yet, in the middle of this rebuke comes one of the most beautiful invitations in Scripture: “Come now, and let us reason together.” God does not simply expose our sins and leave us in condemnation.
