Called to Spread the Gospel of Peace

"And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;"
— Ephesians 6:15 (KJV)

As believers, we are not only called to receive the peace of Christ — we are also commissioned to carry it into the world. When Paul described the armor of God, he included the "preparation of the gospel of peace" as something we must wear on our feet. This imagery reminds us that everywhere we go, we should walk as messengers of God's peace.

The gospel we preach is not one of confusion, fear, or strife. It is good news: that through Jesus Christ, humanity can be reconciled to God and to one another. In a world plagued by conflict, division, and anxiety, the message of peace is desperately needed. It is a peace that surpasses all human understanding (Philippians 4:7) — a peace rooted not in circumstances, but in the person of Christ.

When we share the gospel, we are not merely spreading information; we are offering a new way of life — a life marked by peace with God, peace within ourselves, and peace with others.

Today, God calls you to:

• Walk boldly into places of unrest with the message of hope.
• Be an agent of reconciliation, not division.
• Share not only with your words but also through the peace that radiates from your life.

Let us prepare ourselves daily to carry the gospel of peace wherever God sends us. May our lives be living testimonies that the Prince of Peace reigns forever in the affairs of men.

Prayer:

Lord, thank You for the peace You have given me through Christ. Help me to be faithful in spreading the gospel of peace to everyone I meet. Make my life a reflection of Your love, and use me to heal broken hearts and divided communities. In Jesus' name, Amen.
