Title: What Must I Do to Be Saved?
Scripture Focus:
“Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.” – Acts 16:30–31 (NKJV)
Devotional:
This is life’s most important question: “What must I do to be saved?” It was asked by a jailer in the middle of a crisis, but it’s a question every soul must answer. Have you ever got to the point where this was the question in your heart?
The answer is not complicated. It is not based on religious rituals, long pilgrimages, or human effort. The apostles replied simply:
“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved.”
To believe in Jesus means more than just knowing His name—it means:
- Trusting that He died on the cross for your sins
- Believing that He rose again, conquering death
- Surrendering your life to Him as Savior and Lord
- Receiving His grace by faith, not by your works
Salvation begins with a heart decision and a confession of faith:
“If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” – Romans 10:9
This salvation brings forgiveness, peace with God, and the promise of eternal life. It’s the start of a new journey—walking daily in God’s love and grace.
You don’t have to fix yourself first. You don’t have to wait. Salvation is available right now.
How to Receive Salvation Today:
- Acknowledge that you are a sinner in need of God’s mercy (Romans 3:23).
- Believe that Jesus died for your sins and rose again (John 3:16).
- Confess Him as your Savior and surrender your life to Him (Romans 10:9–10).
- Receive the gift of salvation by grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8–9).
Prayer of Salvation:
Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner and I need Your grace. I believe You died for my sins and rose again. I confess You as my Lord and Savior. Come into my life, forgive me, and make me new. I choose to follow You. Thank You for saving me. Amen.
