 Carrying Precious Seed

Scripture:
“Those who go out weeping, carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves with them.” – Psalm 126:6

Reflection

This verse paints a powerful picture: a farmer walking into the field with tears in his eyes, but with seed in his hands. He doesn’t allow sorrow to stop his sowing. Though his heart is heavy, he still plants in faith, knowing that the harvest will surely come.

The truth is, the seed you carry is precious. It may look small, it may even feel insignificant, but when entrusted to God, it carries the power of multiplication. The enemy’s goal is to make you stop sowing—stop praying, stop giving, stop serving, stop believing. But if you keep sowing, your season of rejoicing will come.

God promises that the one who sows in faith, even with tears, will return carrying not just one sheaf but an abundant harvest. The journey into the field may be heavy, but the return home will be full of songs.

Life Application

  • Ask yourself: what seed am I carrying right now? (prayers, time, finances, service, acts of love)
  • Refuse to let discouragement stop your sowing.
  • Sow with expectation, believing that God is faithful to bring the harvest.

Prayer

Father, I thank You for the precious seed You have placed in my hands. Even in my moments of weakness, help me to sow faithfully and consistently. Turn my tears into testimonies and cause me to return with abundant sheaves of joy. Amen.
