🌙 Midnight Call Reflection

Title: God’s Hand in the Shaking of Nations

Beloved, as we glance across today’s headlines, one theme stands out: the world is shaking. From global markets swinging with uncertainty, to Nigeria’s refinery struggles, to nations debating the recognition of Palestine, and even athletes braving storms to achieve victory—our times are marked by turbulence and transition.

But Scripture reminds us that behind every shaking lies the steady hand of God.

The prophet Haggai declared:

“I will shake all nations, and what is desired by all nations will come, and I will fill this house with glory.” — Haggai 2:7

The shaking we witness in economies, governments, and even religious institutions is not without meaning. God uses these moments to awaken hearts, humble nations, and remind His people that only what is rooted in Him will endure.

  • In the markets, fortunes rise and fall in a day—but true riches remain in Christ.
  • In politics, nations form alliances and break apart—but the kingdom of God is unshakable.
  • In the Church, anniversaries and new missions remind us that God is still building His people, one stone at a time.
  • In sports, resilience under trial shows us that perseverance produces a crown—not just on the field, but in eternity (2 Timothy 4:8).

The Midnight Call tonight is this: do not fear the shaking—be anchored in Christ. The storms of this world are temporary, but the promises of God are eternal. As economies wobble and leaders come and go, let us fix our eyes on the One whose kingdom cannot be moved.

🙏 Prayer:
Lord, in the midst of global uncertainty, let my heart not be troubled. Anchor me in Your Word, fill me with Your Spirit, and help me live as a witness of Your unshakable kingdom. Amen.
