🌙 Midnight Call Reflection
“Be Watchful and Spiritually Sensitive”
Beloved, the days we live in are no ordinary times. Every headline—from wars and rumors of wars, to strikes, conflicts, moral decay, and the shaking of nations—echoes the words of Jesus:
“Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.” — Matthew 25:13
The greatest danger for the believer in this season is not persecution or hardship, but spiritual slumber. Many are distracted by the noise of politics, the rush for wealth, or the comfort of routine, while the trumpet of eternity draws nearer.
To be spiritually sensitive is to discern the times like the sons of Issachar (1 Chronicles 12:32). It means staying awake in prayer, grounded in the Word, and alert to the movements of the Spirit. The enemy thrives where believers are careless—but he trembles where believers are watchful.
The Apostle Peter warns:
“Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.” — 1 Peter 5:8
Now is the time to guard your heart, sharpen your discernment, and live daily with eternity in view. Let not pleasure, bitterness, or compromise dull your sensitivity. The Spirit is speaking, but only the watchful will hear.
💡 Reflection Question: Are you awake to the Spirit’s leading, or lulled by the world’s distractions?
🙏 Prayer: Lord, awaken my spirit. Help me to be watchful, prayerful, and discerning in these last days. Keep me faithful, so that when You come, I may be ready to meet You in glory. Amen.
