FaithWatch and Midnight Call Reflection- 27th September 2025

🌌 Midnight Call Reflection

Living in Times of Shaking: A Call to Revival and Mission

The world today trembles under the weight of conflicts, political unrest, natural crises, and spiritual uncertainty. From the battlefields of Gaza to the sanctions on Iran, from Russia’s warnings to NATO to Nigeria’s unending struggles with fuel, flooding, and insecurity — every headline seems to echo the words of Jesus:

“You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed… nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.”
(Matthew 24:6–7)

Yet in the midst of this global shaking, something powerful is happening. Reports from America reveal a resurgence of revival in churches following the death of Charlie Kirk. In Nigeria, Christian leaders continue to stand firm against darkness and call for renewal. Across the globe, even in suffering, faith is finding fresh expression.

This is no coincidence. History reminds us that the Church often shines brightest when the world is darkest. Wars may rage, leaders may falter, economies may crumble — but the mission of Christ remains unchanged:

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations…”
(Matthew 28:19)

Believers today are called not to fear, but to watch, pray, and act. To be spiritually sensitive, discerning the times, and responding with faith, love, and mission. While men’s hearts may fail them for fear, our hope is anchored in Christ who declared:

“In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”
(John 16:33)

Tonight, let this be our midnight call:

  • To lift our eyes from the chaos of the world to the cross of Christ.
  • To remember that revival is born in the furnace of affliction.
  • To commit ourselves afresh to sharing the Gospel, loving the needy, and standing firm in holiness.

The shaking is real — but so is the Spirit’s move. Let us not be passive observers of the news, but active participants in God’s redemptive story.

Reflection Prayer
“Lord, make me sensitive to the times, strong in faith, and bold in witness. Let the shakings of this world not drive me to fear, but to a deeper commitment to Your mission. Amen.”
