🌙 Midnight Call Reflection
“Perseverance and the Crown of Reward”
Tonight, we draw a lesson from the world of sports. Ousmane DembĂ©lĂ©, once written off because of injuries, inconsistency, and heavy criticism during his Barcelona days, has now risen to win the 2025 Ballon d’Or. His story is not just about football—it is about the grace of perseverance.
Many times in life, the weight of failure and the sting of setbacks make us feel disqualified from destiny. Dembélé could have faded into obscurity, but he chose to rise, rebuild, and redeem his talent at PSG. And in due time, his diligence was crowned.
The Bible reminds us:
“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” — Galatians 6:9
Beloved, the Christian race is even greater than the Ballon d’Or stage. The crowns we press toward are eternal, incorruptible, and prepared by Christ Himself (2 Timothy 4:8). Life will present obstacles—health challenges, betrayals, financial struggles, even spiritual battles—but in Christ, defeat is not the end.
Like Dembélé, we must not let past failures dictate our future. Instead, we press on, trusting God who redeems lost years and turns pain into platforms. Our part is faith, endurance, and consistency; His part is the crown of glory.
đź’ˇ Reflection Question: Where have you been tempted to give up? Remember: the crown comes after the struggle. Do not faint—the reward is nearer than you think.
🙏 Prayer: Lord, strengthen me to run my race with perseverance. Help me to rise after every fall, to walk by faith, and to keep my eyes on the eternal crown You have prepared. Amen.
