Sowing in Tears

 Sowing in Tears

Scripture:
“Those who sow with tears will reap with songs of joy.” – Psalm 126:5

Reflection

Every harvest begins with a seed. But the psalmist reminds us that sometimes seeds are planted with tears—through pain, loss, or sacrifice. Seasons of hardship may make it seem like nothing good will come out of our efforts, but God promises that tears are never wasted when sown in faith.

Just as farmers sow seeds into the dark soil, we often sow prayers, service, and obedience into situations that feel hidden or fruitless. Yet in due time, God transforms every tear into testimony. The tears of waiting, fasting, forgiving, and enduring trials are watering seeds of joy yet to be revealed.

Your weeping season is not your final chapter. God specializes in turning mourning into dancing (Psalm 30:11). What was planted with tears will be harvested with rejoicing.

Life Application

  • Reflect on the “tears” you’ve sown—whether in prayer, relationships, ministry, or work.
  • Trust that God sees and records every tear (Psalm 56:8).
  • Keep sowing, knowing that the harvest of joy is guaranteed by His promise.

Prayer

Lord, I surrender every tear before You. Let my sacrifices and hidden prayers not be in vain. May every tear I’ve sown produce a harvest of joy, restoration, and blessing. Turn my sorrow into rejoicing, and let my testimony inspire others to trust You. Amen.
