π Midnight Call Reflection – September 11, 2025
Beloved in Christ,
The world awoke today with heavy hearts. As America paused to mark the 24th anniversary of September 11, 2001, a tragedy that shook nations and claimed thousands of lives, fresh sorrow came with the shocking news of the assassination of Charlie Kirk, a young conservative leader, gunned down at just 31 years old.
At today’s Pentagon memorial, President Trump posthumously awarded him the Presidential Medal of Freedom, calling him a “champion of liberty.” Yet, beyond the politics and honors lies a sobering truth: life is fleeting.
The Bible reminds us:
“You do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes.” – James 4:14
π A Call to Reflection
The death of someone so young and full of energy reminds us that tomorrow is not promised. While some chase power, wealth, and recognition, eternity awaits us all. What matters most is not how long we live but how we live—and whether our lives reflect Christ’s light.
In a world filled with violence, fear, and uncertainty—whether in America, Nigeria, or anywhere else—the question becomes urgent: Are we ready?
Jesus said, “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour.” – Matthew 25:13
π Midnight Prayer
Father, we bring before You the grieving family, friends, and followers of Charlie Kirk. Comfort them in this dark hour.
Lord, teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom (Psalm 90:12).
Protect our nations from senseless violence, and raise voices of truth and courage in this generation.
May we live not for applause, but for eternal purpose in You.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
π Closing Reflection
Child of God, let the news of today awaken your spirit. Nations may shake, leaders may fall, and voices may be silenced, but the Kingdom of God endures forever.
“The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning.” – Lamentations 3:22–23
As you step into tomorrow, live with eternity in view. Be faithful. Be ready. Be light.
