🌙 Midnight Call Reflection — “Faith in the Fire”

Text: “When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you.” — Isaiah 43:2

Across the world today, headlines remind us that faith is not lived in comfort but in conflict. From Nigeria’s northeast where believers still face persecution, to churches across the world striving to uphold truth amid darkness, the message is clear — faith is being tested.

The recent report confirming the systematic killing of thousands of Christians in Nigeria is not merely a statistic; it is a mirror reflecting the spiritual battle of our age. Yet in the ashes of affliction, the Church of Christ still stands — wounded, but unbroken; persecuted, but not forsaken. Every martyr’s cry becomes a seed of revival. Every tear shed in prayer becomes a flame that refuses to die.

Meanwhile, even in the fields of sport and culture, light breaks through — athletes lifting flags and faith high, communities rebuilding, and nations seeking hope beyond politics and pain. These are reminders that God still works in the ordinary to reveal the extraordinary.

The test of our time is not just endurance, but steadfastness. Can we still love when hated? Can we still serve when forgotten? Can we still believe when miracles seem delayed? The fire will not consume the faithful; it will refine them.

As we approach the close of this day, let every believer remember: God is not absent in the fire — He is present in it. And though the world may count us few, Heaven counts us faithful.

🙏 Midnight Prayer

Lord, strengthen Your Church across nations. Comfort those who mourn, uphold those who suffer for Your name, and ignite in us an unshakable faith. May Your light shine through us in dark times, and may the fire that tests us become the flame that purifies us. Amen.

💬 Quote of the Night:

“The fire that threatens to consume you may be the same flame that purifies your calling.”
