🌙 Midnight Call Reflection

Theme: “Truth, Misrepresentation & the Church’s Response”

In these days, truth and narrative struggle for dominance. Nations clash in diplomacy; markets shift on perceptions; and societies demand that their stories be heard and not twisted. For the Church, the storm is not only external but narrative: how we are seen, how our suffering is portrayed or denied, how our voice is either amplified—or silenced—by powers and media.

When government denies Christian genocide, when accusations are deflected, and when internal disputes delay reclaiming heritage (as with the Benin bronzes), the question is: Will the Church stay silent or stand firm? We must refuse to let false narratives steal our witness.

Jesus said, “You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” (John 8:32) Truth must not be reactive—it must be embodied. When narratives clash, the Church’s mission is to anchor in God’s Story, to live authentically, and to speak with gentleness and boldness.

Beloved, tonight resolve:

  • To defend truth—not pride.
  • To speak justice—even when it’s costly.
  • To trust the God who judges and redeems when men twist stories.

The battle for truth is spiritual. The Church’s role is not to shout loudest, but to carry the voice of heaven into contested spaces. Let us not fear being misrepresented—for Christ was misrepresented, yet through Him all was vindicated.

In this hour, the cross speaks louder than any narrative. Let the Church stand on truth.
