🌙 Midnight Call Reflection
“Mourning, Markets, and the Mission of the Church”
Tonight, the world watches crowds in Kenya, markets wobble in Nigeria, and conflict intensifies in Gaza. In each case, the human heart trembles. Loss meets regret, fear meets instability, and the Church is called to respond.
When crowds mourn leaders, when money markets falter, when war looms, what does the Church do? It mourns with the mourning, offers stability where trembling happens, and points beyond the immediate to the eternal.
The Gospel is not silent in the face of protest or panic. It calls the Church to be a steady presence, a refuge of hope, a voice of truth and love.
Beloved, may we not simply react to the world’s crises — may we rise into our mission.
“Carry each other’s burdens and in this way you will fulfil the law of Christ.” — Galatians 6:2
Tonight let us pray:
Lord, let Your Church stand firm in grief and chaos. Let us be anchors amid storms, lights amid darkness, and voices of Your peace amid the uproar. Amen.
