Episode 26 – The River Flows Beyond

When a Local Fire Becomes a Global Flame

Months had passed since the mountain encounter. David’s days were quieter but rich — teaching small groups, mentoring young believers, restoring hearts one by one. He had learned that revival wasn’t noise; it was life continually yielded.

But one morning, something unusual happened.

A journalist from a Christian radio station stopped by his village, seeking stories of “faith in unlikely places.” Someone pointed her to David. She listened as he told the story of the barn fire, the prayers, the miracles, the betrayals, and the visitation. She wept as he spoke — not from emotion, but from conviction.

“Can I share this?” she asked.

David hesitated, then nodded. “If it will glorify Him, yes.”

Within days, the broadcast aired across the region. Listeners called in from distant countries. Many reported being healed or filled with the Holy Spirit as they listened. Pastors requested recordings to play in their churches. The story of “the farmer preacher who met God in the fire” began to spread like wildfire.

Invitations poured in — not for fame, but for fire.
Churches wanted him to teach about the altar of surrender. Youths asked how to hear God again. Mission groups sought his counsel.

One day, while praying in his modest room, David heard that same familiar voice:
“The river I showed you has begun to flow. Go — but do not go alone. Take what you have learned in the silence and teach them to wait.”

He packed a small bag, hugged Mama tightly, and whispered, “You were right, Mama — the barn was just the beginning.”

She smiled through tears. “Go, my son. The nations are waiting for the oil your fire produced.”

As David stepped onto the small airstrip — his first flight ever — the sun broke through the clouds, casting golden rays over the horizon. He looked up, heart trembling with gratitude.

“Lord,” he said softly, “if this is how far Your grace reaches, then let my life remain an altar.”

The plane ascended, and from above, he could see the winding rivers cutting through the land — shining like streams of light.

Somewhere in Heaven, the same hand that had written his trials now turned a page.

A new chapter was beginning.
