Revival and Unity
Day 18: Revival and Unity
Theme Scripture
“And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.”
— Acts 2:1 (KJV)
Exposition
Revival flourishes in an atmosphere of unity. Before the fire of Pentecost fell, the disciples were not only praying — they were in one accord. The Holy Spirit is attracted to unity because it reflects the nature of God Himself — Father, Son, and Spirit working in perfect harmony.
Disunity quenches the Spirit. Pride, jealousy, gossip, and division close the door to divine visitation. But where believers dwell together in love and humility, God commands His blessing (Psalm 133:1–3).
Throughout history, every major revival began when God’s people laid aside differences and sought Him together. When hearts unite in prayer, heaven responds with power. Revival is not the reward of talent or status, but of hearts joined together in desperate pursuit of God.
In this generation, the enemy fights hard to divide the Body of Christ — through denominational walls, cultural differences, and personal offenses. But revival breaks those barriers. When revival comes, competition turns into cooperation, and personal ambition gives way to the pursuit of God’s glory.
True revival doesn’t just make people passionate; it makes them one. The fire that fell in Acts 2 turned fearful disciples into a unified body that shook the world.
