The Wind of the Spirit
Day 10: The Wind of the Spirit
Theme Scripture
“The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.”
— John 3:8 (NKJV)
Exposition
Revival is not a product of human organization, strategy, or talent — it is a sovereign move of the Spirit of God. Jesus compared the Holy Spirit to the wind: unseen, uncontrollable, and unstoppable. You cannot dictate its direction, but you can discern its movement and position yourself to flow with it.
Just as the wind refreshes a weary land, the Holy Spirit revives dry hearts and lifeless churches. When the Spirit moves, He awakens sleeping believers, convicts the sinner, and restores the glory of God’s presence among His people.
In Acts 2, when the day of Pentecost had fully come, the disciples heard “a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind.” That was not a poetic image; it was the tangible manifestation of divine power. The Wind of the Spirit filled the upper room, ignited the flames of revival, and sent ordinary men into the world as extraordinary witnesses.
We must never forget that revival is not humanly manufactured; it is divinely birthed. Our part is to stay yielded, pure, and responsive — like sails open to the wind. When we are surrendered to the Holy Spirit, His power moves us beyond fear, limitations, and apathy.
Let the cry of your heart today be: “Lord, let Your wind blow mightily again — in my life, in my church, and across the nations!”
