Courage to Stand Alone
Courage to Stand Alone
Main Scripture:
Joshua 24:15 — “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
Devotional
There are moments in life when courage looks like companionship — but there are seasons when courage looks like standing alone. Not everyone will understand your values. Not everyone will support your obedience. Not everyone will walk your path. But God never called you to be popular — He called you to be faithful.
Standing alone does not mean you are abandoned. It means you are aligned.
Some of the greatest moves of God happened through people who were willing to stand when others bowed, to speak when others were silent, and to walk when others stayed behind.
True courage is choosing obedience over approval.
Elijah stood alone before false prophets.
Daniel stood firm in a foreign land.
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego refused to bow.
Paul stood firm even when forsaken.
When you stand alone for God, heaven stands with you.

- “My obedience attracts divine presence and divine reward.”
Prayer
Father, give me the strength to stand even when I feel alone. Help me choose faithfulness over approval and obedience over comfort. When the pressure rises, let Your presence be my strength. I declare that I am not abandoned — I am divinely supported. In Jesus’ name, amen.
