Remain Close to the Shepherd
Midnight Reflection
Theme: Remain Close to the Shepherd
Scripture
Psalm 23:1–2 (NKJV)
"The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters."
As night falls, remember that your greatest security is not in your plans, possessions, or abilities—it is in the presence of the Good Shepherd. Throughout this day, He has guided your steps, protected you from dangers you may never have noticed, and sustained you by His grace.
If today brought joy, thank Him. If it brought disappointment, trust Him. If it brought unanswered questions, rest in His wisdom. The Shepherd never abandons His sheep, even when the path leads through dark valleys.
Before you sleep, take a few moments to be still before the Lord. Let His peace quiet your heart and His love drive away every fear. As you remain close to Him, you will discover that His presence is your greatest source of comfort and strength.
Prayer
Gracious Father, thank You for shepherding me throughout this day. I place my life, my family, my work, and my future into Your hands. As I sleep tonight, let Your angels watch over me. Renew my body, refresh my spirit, and awaken me with fresh passion to walk closely with You tomorrow. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Good night. May the Lord give you peaceful rest, renew your strength, and keep you abiding in His presence until the dawn of a new day.
