September 6 — When God Is Your Refuge 📖 Scripture Reading: Isaiah 10:20–27 Key Verse: “And it shall come to pass in that day that the remnant of Israel… will lean on the Lord, the Holy One of Israel, in truth.” — Isaiah 10:20 (NKJV) Devotional Reflection There is a difference between knowing about God and leaning on God . Isaiah speaks of a remnant of God's people who would no longer depend on the nations around them or on their own strength. Instead, they would “lean on the Lord, the Holy One of Israel.” To lean means to place your weight on something because you trust that it will hold you. Think about what happens when you are physically tired. You look for something strong enough to support you. You don't lean against something because you think it might collapse. You lean because you believe it will hold your weight. God invites us to do the same with Him. There are seasons when our own strength is simply not enough. We may have tried to solve the problem ...
